Welcome to Kovach Artistry

Hi! Welcome to my website. I am a Northern/central Indiana photographer based in Mishawaka and West Lafayette, Indiana.

I am 23 years old, and I have had a camera in my hands since I was 2 years old. However, I didn’t have my own camera till I was 10 years old. I loved taking photos as they document a piece of time, since you can never go back. In high school I was a prolific artist and I had won many awards for my art and photography. When I graduated from Mishawaka High School, I went to study at IUSB as a drawing and painting major with a concentration in Realism.

However, after a semester there I was not able to hold a paintbrush, pencil, a cup, a fork etc. It wasn’t until August 2020 when I was diagnosed with one of my autoimmune diseases. Although I cannot convey what I want to show on a canvas. I am able to capture it through the lens. That’s when photography became my main art form.

This became extremely important to me when my grandpa was sick. I realized that we don’t have many photos of him with family. After he passed, I really wished that I nagged him for more photos. I just wish that we had more photos. He was more than a grandpa to me he was one my first artistic supporters of this crazy dream of mine.

With this crazy dream, I am currently in my sophomore year at Purdue University (GO BOILERS) as a Linguistics Major. With an early passion for not only the arts I have been learning languages since Elementary school, I love connecting with people across the world. As that really inspires me in my work.
